Provides technological support to the OHSU Simulation Center and Standardized Patient Programs including conferencing set up in all of the debriefing and other classroom spaces.
This position is responsible for collaborating with OHSU Simulation Operations team, OHSU faculty and facilitating skills training labs
Ensures all equipment is working properly and orders repairs on timely basis to assure exam schedules are met.
Collaborates with other program technicians in ensuring everything is ready for each standardized clinical training experience and high-fidelity manikin based simulations. This includes assisting with exam room set-up, providing props and materials, providing technological assessment materials.
Uploads curricula and content into the BLINE system.
Communicates exam logistics to faculty, students and others involved in the experience.
Ensures sign in forms and computer evaluation tools are ready.
Operates sophisticated medical simulation technologies in order to achieve the SimOps Staff/Team overall needs. This involves computerized clinical procedures, life-support systems, physiologic monitors, and A/V and wireless communication equipment.
Trains users on the BLINE content management and AV system
OHSU Simulation Center Support:
Develops familiarity with the resident RLSB computer technology and software.
Provides compilation and dissemination of outcomes data from each examination and prepare evaluations and reports for use by faculty leadership and other stakeholders. Data includes videography, timing, report formats, scoring, etc.
Partners with Simulation Operations Specialists on implementation of A/V system (B-Line) into the OHSU Simulation Center.
Provides user training and support for the RLSB computer technology and specifically the BLINE A/V technology, and recording software.
Records Simulation encounters and OSCEs/events using resident A/V technology and recording software.
Develops familiarity with both A/V technology and recording software (B-Line Medical).
Troubleshoots and triages the basic A/V technology for any events or courses held in the RLSB Simulation Center.
Assists in development of educational programs, presentations and/or patient education materials; plans and prepares curriculum content and course outlines in conformance with program objectives and accreditation standards; modify and update existing educational programs and/or patient education materials or recommends modifications as appropriate.
Supports in the care and maintenance of departmental equipment, supplies, work areas and facilities; requisition supplies and equipment as needed for instruction: select and organize teaching aides to include videos and nursing supplies and equipment to demonstrate improved methods of patient care; maintain required departmental records, reports and statistics as appropriate.
