The person in this position provides technical expertise, customer mentoring, and support activities for the Unified Communication client experience. The position has primary responsibility to support all UC client hardware and software multimedia applications in use on the Centura Health enterprise network. Technologies that fall within the realm of responsibility for this position include voice, video, web conferencing, instant messaging, software/hardware codecs and multimedia (A/V) equipment within conference rooms and desktops. This position requires a self-starter, team oriented player, responsible for the continuous support and improvement of multimedia systems. In addition to these responsibilities this individual will also function as a member of the IT Communications operations teams, supporting the UC infrastructure including various models of Cisco routers, switches, gateways, wireless controllers, Wireless Access Points, and wired and wireless communications end devices. These end devices include both wired and wireless VoIP handsets, computers, laptops, tablets, printers and modalities. Demonstrated skills and mastery of the end user devices listed will allow IT Communications to provide high quality, responsive support for all associates within Centura Health hospitals, clinics and physician offices. Attentive maintenance, troubleshooting and problem solving of these client devices is required. In addition to the hardware devices, day to day administration of client applications, including Microsoft Office Skype for Business, Lync, Cisco Jabber, as relating to support for Cisco and Polycom video endpoints will be required. A deep understanding of the integration of various multimedia components are primary responsibilities, as they are at the core of the Unified Communication experience. Travel between Centura facilities, and all Centura Health Neighborhood affiliates will be required as necessary.
Preferred Minimum Education Requirements
Associates Degree in Network Communications (technical) and/or completion of formal courses in Telecommunications, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Equivalent work experience considered.
Minimum Experience Requirements
Demonstrated knowledge and operations of multiple UC end user devices is required. High consideration will be given to those with demonstrated experience using multimedia (A/V) and communication technology.
Understand and apply design principles and concepts for multiple multimedia and communication disciplines.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of standard MS Windows configuration disciplines.
Demonstrate ability to work and understand standard 802.11 wireless configuration disciplines.
Demonstrate ability to work understand Cisco Unified Communication end device configuration disciplines.
Demonstrate ability to analytically problem-solve, all assigned support disciplines.
Practice strong verbal and written communication skills.
Successfully interact with non-technical personnel of all levels to convey complex technical concepts.
Understand and apply project management principles.
Support the goals and mission of Centura Health, within the role of Information Technology.
Perform duties and interaction with others in a professional manner.
Maintain good working relationships with all coworkers.
Cisco CCENT (preferred) or equivalent work experience
Cisco CCNA Collaboration (preferred) or equivalent work experience.

Maintain multimedia hardware and software infrastructure. Includes software updates, usage reporting, repair, and new implementations.*
Support daily multimedia operations with various users on multiple platforms, including: training, problem resolution, and event planning. *
Report on utilization, problem resolution, and streamline processes to enhance the communications at Centura Health. *
Respond to and support of end user devices, such as wireless Cisco phones, laptops, Physician owned devices, Cisco desk phones. Telemedicine end user devices. Conference room hardware components and infrastructure *
Response to IT Communication troubleshooting and support of infrastructure.*
Interacts with various corporate, hospital, clinic and physician office personnel to create and implement multimedia solutions to business problems. *
Evaluates new products, monitors multimedia systems capacity and overall product lifecycles to ensure high performing, highly available systems. *
Organizes and oversees the implementation of multimedia solutions in corporate, hospital, clinic and physician office facilities. *
