Perform research and analysis and create work product that advances CTIA’s public policy objectives and interests, at the direction of CTIA’s Vice President for Research.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
The incumbent will assist in three broad areas
Conducting Research and Preparing Reports. Perform research for and assist in preparing issue briefs, white papers, infographics, and other work product for use by CTIA departments in their advocacy and media outreach and education. Prepare summaries of relevant reports for CTIA Leadership Team, and work with subject matter experts on topics such as privacy, cybersecurity, and connected life (IoT).
Developing Information Products. Working with the broader Communications Department, increase the effectiveness of data in CTIA’s advocacy to advance the goals of the Association and tell the positive story of America’s wireless industry. Assist in creating and conducting CTIA’s surveys and preparing resulting reports.
Responding to Staff, Members, and Key Stakeholders. Respond to external and internal research-related queries, including policymakers, CTIA members, investment analysts, and academics.

Basic knowledge of research and survey methods required. Knowledge of telecommunications, regulatory and information issues preferred.
Familiarity with word processing and database systems, ability to work with a variety of software programs desired (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, on-line research tools, etc.). Experience with data visualization tools required.
Education and/or experience:
Minimum college degree with 2-4 years’ experience.
Detail-oriented with knowledge of grammar and punctuation. Proficiency in proofreading skills and strong communications skills are required.
