The Director of IT Services is a position within the CUIMC Department of Radiology. This position will be responsible for ensuring the streamlined operations of Radiology IT by analyzing and directing all IT related services for the Department of Radiology. This role will supervise staff assigned to IT services and ensure efficient operations through planning, technical leadership, and project coordination while ensuring compliance with regulatory, Departmental and CUIMC policies and procedures.
Responsible for oversite of the information technologist staff, including: recruitment, training, development, evaluation and management of the technologists.
In collaboration with senior leadership, recommend information technology strategies, organization goals, policies and procedures.
Monitor and ensure efficient workflow of IT staff for all IT related services in the Department to maximize productivity.
Provide expert knowledge of IT operations; including virtualization, databases, networking, and remote operations.
Manage daily operations and create efficiencies by establishing staff coverage schemes, implementing a ticketing resource system and track work productivity.
Oversee delivery of end-user services ensuring timely response and completion of projects.
Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization policies and standards.
Provides programming and/or analytical support for the relevant departmental system, subsystems, and related software products, in support of clinical and operational users.
Preserve assets by implementing back-up procedures, disaster recovery, business continuity, and information security and control structures.
Performs analysis of business and user needs revising existing systems and recommending improvements.
Assist CUIMC ISO project management in tracking information security projects.
Work with the CUIMC infrastructure team to include ongoing security review of IT services.
Ensures that all department owned servers, applications and storage systems are certified according to security guidelines mandated by the CUMC Information Technology security.
Travel is required to all sites.
Performs additional job related duties as needed.
Requires bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus six years of related experience.
Master???s degree with direct healthcare experience preferred.
Candidate should have strong project management, systems operations, hardware, standard office software and networking skills.
Superior ability to identify, diagnose and resolve hardware/software problems.
Experience providing IT solutions in a clinical environment preferred.
Experience working with EMR/EHR systems (EPIC Preferred).
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to lead, interact, and communicate effectively.
Windows 10 preferred and Macos systems.
Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networked environment and Linux system.
VMware ESXi, vCenter, View and Advanced MS Office skills.
Advanced Knowledge of: MS Windows XP/Vista/7, MAC OS X, MS Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook), General PC hardware, Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP), Wireless Communication and Anti-Virus Software, Modzilla Firefox and Thunderbird, Active Directory.
