POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, MAGNETOELECTRIC AND MULTIFERROIC DEVICES, NANO-CYBERNETIC BIOTREK , Program in Media Arts and Sciences , to join the Nano-Cybernetic Biotrek research group, which aims to invent disruptive technologies for nanoelectronic devices and create new paradigms for life-machine symbiosis . Responsibilities will include designing and developing new magnetoelectric devices for diverse applications such as energy harvesters, sensors, actuators, resonators, antenna, memory, transistors, etc.; performing multiphysics simulations to optimize the device; and fabricating the devices using cleanroom facilities and performing device characterization.
REQUIRED : a Ph.D. in electrical/electronics engineering, physics, materials science, bio/mechanical/chemical engineering, or relevant field; strong background in magnetism, electromagnetism, magnetoelectric effect, or multiferroics; experience with magnetoelectric device development and characterization in above-mentioned applications; and experience with multiphysics simulations. Experience with nanofabrication preferred, as is experience with antennae development or microwave engineering or wireless communication or wireless sensing. A background in solid state physics and electronic devices also preferred. Job #17074
