RL Controls, LLC is seeking an Repair Electrical/Electronic Technician to perform repair, assembly and software installation. This position provides a unique opportunity to be involved with telematics technology, wired and wireless communication and electronic controls within the mass transit industry.
Role Definition: The Repair Electrical/Electronic Technician works with various test equipment and systems for operational requirements with the ability to troubleshoot using test equipment and software, and has an understanding of IP networks, wireless technologies including Wi-Fi and cellular networks.
The Repair Electrical/Electronic Technician:
· Must be able to comprehend technical documentation that contains descriptions and specifications of proprietary hardware/software,
· Follow instructions and implement via procedures, or schematics,
· Must be able to evaluate work to ensure effectiveness, technical adequacy and resolution via identified problems.
· Must be able to speak with and understand engineers, technicians, with the ability to discuss existing or potential electronics projects or products.

Required Skills:
· Solid knowledge of analog, digital circuits and IP based technologies
· The ability to build/test custom wire harnesses and assemblies for proof of concept
· Excellent soldering skills and dexterity with small hand tools
· Extensive test equipment experience from Meters, Scopes to Spectrum Analyzers
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong Interpersonal skills and perform under pressure in front of the customer
· High attention to detail and quality, work with hand tools, and understand electromechanical systems
· Self-motivated with ability to learn quickly and work independently
· Understand activities concerned with manufacture assembly, construction, installation, maintenance, operation, or modification of electronic equipment, products, or systems and be able to bring industry best practices.
· Excellent computer skills; MS-products, CAD, Solidworks, LabVIEW (graphical programming) and be willing to travel within the USA and Abroad when required. Applicant should also have a proven track record of successful outcomes and a willingness to learn as you will be tested for proficiency as required.
