The USC School of Pharmacy is seeking a Computer Services Consultant II to provide technical support, assistance and advice in the use of computer hardware, software and networks to faculty, staff and students. The ideal candidate will perform analytical, technical and administrative work to plan, design and install networked and stand-alone computer systems for offices, labs and classrooms. Will assist faculty, staff and students in using computer resources to enhance research and educational activities; analyze user needs; evaluate new products and recommend hardware and software purchases.
Knowledge and experience supporting Windows 10 and MacOS desktop computers as well as tablets/mobile devices. Experience with hardware and software troubleshooting. Experience with imaging and auditing tools is preferable.
Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office 365, anti-virus software, anti-spyware software, browsers, email clients. Knowledge of Microsoft Azure technologies is preferable.  Prior experience with Macintosh is desirable.Â
Knowledge of lecture capturing and streaming technologies is required. Additional knowledge of networks, LANs and network software is preferred.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills, and be able to communicate technical information in a user friendly manner. Must be able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and function in a collaborative working environment. Prior experience in training and public speaking is preferred.
Bachelorâs degree with two years of experience. Combined experience/education may substitute for minimum education.Â
