The Systems Engineering team provides detailed end-to-end engineering, simulation, and analysis of wireless and wireline systems as typically defined by the Industry Forums and Network Planning to assist the Network Engineering teams in developing, deploying, and troubleshooting complex systems. Lead the development of simulation framework requirements through collaborating/partnering with Systems Engineering team members, internal organizations, and external partners. Convert complex and high-priority simulation framework requirements into technical specifications such as high-level design, low-level design, feature descriptions, interface specifications, etc. Lead the architecture and development of the simulation framework utilizing third-party partners, internal partners, and internal developers. Lead the selection of crucial vendors and provide technical leadership/oversite throughout the development process. Creates, develops, and leverages software development processes and practices to ensure quality and on-time product releases. Coach and mentor team members with best practices from software development and the wireless communication industry. What we&#8217;re looking for...     You&#8217;ll need to have: Bachelor&#8217;s degree or four or more years of work experience. Six or more years of relevant work experience. Even better if you have: Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. Experience in developing software and deploying large wireless communication products. Strong project management skills to execute on the roadmap, driving a project from inception to completion. Communication and advanced presentation skills, including demonstrated experience with executive-level presentations. Ability to facilitate the collaborative resolution of differences with a &#8220;win-win&#8221; approach. Proven organizational and interpersonal skills, plus proven relationship building abilities. Experience developing software applications on Linux Operating System. Experience with Programming / Scripting languages (Python, Java, and C/C++). Experience with 5GNR, LTE, IMS, RCS, VoLTE. Experience with network simulation, diagnostic, troubleshooting and software development tools. Experience with communication protocols and internals (5G, 4G, LTE, IMS, IP (TCP, UDP, and SCTP), Ethernet (L1-4), and RTP). Experience with call flows for 5G, 4G, VoLTE, and IMS. Experience with relevant 3GPP, ETSI, and GSMA standards. Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, and XP). An understanding of industry-recognized software development best practices and processes. Ability to adapt daily to changing technical and business environments. Experience with virtualizing software applications. Experience with designing micro-services for new and existing systems. Experience with deploying micro-services in containers (Docker). Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes). Knowledge with multi-threading and virtual machines. Experience with a web-based user interface design and frameworks (node.js, angular, express.js, react.js). Experience with REST API design, development, and frameworks.
